Kering, EILEEN FISHER INC. and more partner with the BioCircular Materials Alliance for a global circularity solution—the biosphere circulation project

The BioCircular Materials Alliance (BCMA) has announced partnerships with Kering, EILEEN FISHER Inc., Johnstons of Elgin, and DyStar at the Biofabricate Paris Summit for its biosphere circulation project. This initiative aims to establish a system for creating fully circular textile products by using fermentation technology to turn biobased and biodegradable textile waste into new materials.

Participating brands will support BCMA by providing samples for lab-scale testing and exploring the impact of textile chemicals on material conversion into fermentation nutrients. Results from these tests will be compiled into a database for designing circular products. We look forward to building further partnerships with others in the industry to shape a more sustainable future.
